| Things are happening in the studio...many things....(an aerial view). I've started stretching my own canvases again, too. You can see the tiger I've started in the background. What is the tiger on, you ask? It is on canvas, but I've added old dress patterns with waterproof mixed media adhesive. I like the texture of the thin paper underneath the paint. |

| I've got a new, small diptych started on the easel. There is a dog toy beneath the easel. Fred was there. ;-) |

| I am working on a new painting, a diptych (two-part painting) actually. I'm building on a series concept that started as a jewelry design and was recently purchased by someone at GalleriE CHIZ. The series concept, which I started by calling "Sea Anemone" has morphed into general sea life. We're talking scales, fish eyes, and kelp! We'll see how it continues to develop! This work will eventually appear in the 5912 Alder Street apartment lobby. Check out the rest of the post for the full in-progress image. |
