Weaving at the Pittsburgh Center for the Arts -- progress continues!

I'm making steady progress on the weaving that I'm doing at the Pittsburgh Center for the Arts. There are just two classes left, so I have to boogey to get it completed and off the loom, so that I can learn how to tie the fringe ends. I'm doing large blocks of color, as seen below, and it's looking really neat (much more vividly colored than it appears in these pictures, which look so washed out and greyed down by comparison). I'll have finished pictures very soon!

Messing around in the studio and the kitchen

Something new I'm doodling with...I got a new pad of Mixed Media paper
and I'm seeing what I can do with it.

I'm actually liking it more before I watercolored it, but we'll keep moving and see where it
goes.....

Eh....yeah, I liked the drawing much better. We'll see what we can still
do with it....

Tex-Mex yeast cornbread with ramps from my brother-in-law's yard.

Rhubarb custard in a shortbread crust! The rhubarb is from our garden and
I just harvested it this morning.

One of my two recipes created for www.TheyDrawandCook.com: Polish
Potato Salad! I'll be taking them to FedEx-Kinkos to be scanned because
the paper is much larger than my flatbed scanner.
